Nothing is added for effect — the moves are proportional trim, disciplined color, and window sightlines that match the period.
It suits homes whose bones are already good: symmetrical facades, honest gables, brick or lap-sided elevations from the first half of the last century. Windows, siding and trim, and the entry door are the services that produce it.
